Since 2020 is right around the corner, I thought I would share three goals that are at the top of my mind. I hope your goal list is LONG because I know 2020 is going to be full of amazing things for all of us! I’m going to help you get there 🙂
While your list may be long, I want to make sure you’re not missing out on these three important things. Most of your goals should stem from these three things to really make next year count!
If you haven’t signed up for my masterclass yet, TONIGHT is the last night! Sign up asap if you want in 🙂
00:00 You are listening to your wellness marketer podcast. I’m your host, Christina Bernhard. And today I want to talk about 2020 and 2020 is a right around the corner and this is about the time that we start to create our goals because here we are in December and you might actually have already done this for next year. I have mine pretty much mapped out. But while you’re in the process of it and it’s still really fresh, I did want to go ahead and do an episode about three wellness business goals that you should set for 2020. Also before we get started, I have been hosting a master class for those of you who have a marketing strategy and you feel like your marketing strategy just isn’t working. I’m going over the four first moves to make when your marketing strategy isn’t working. And I did two last week and they are really, really awesome.
00:59 So I’m only doing two more and if you’re listening to this, the day that it comes out on Monday, that would be tomorrow. So tomorrow I’m central time zone. I have a spot at 12:00 PM and one at 6:00 PM so noon central time at 6:00 PM or I’m sorry, noon and 6:00 PM at central time. And you can go to your wellness marketer.com/masterclass to sign up for that. So getting started, I’m on the three goals that you should set for 2020. So if you are in the process of making your goals, I want you to think about these three. So the first one is to get to know your business even more. So start with your business mission and core values. And I talk about this all the time. So if you follow me, and you listen to my podcast regularly, you know that I’m always talking about your business mission and your core values.
02:01 It’s something they truly believe in and you want to make sure everything is in alignment. And sometimes this takes time because it has to evolve. And so I want it to be on the top of your mind next year. I think it’s a really great goal just to know that you’re always working towards understanding what your business is all about and its purpose and what position it plays, what position it holds in the market. Those things are really, really important. So I think that’s a really great goal and you will know once you really understand this and have it nailed down, you’re going to know what content to create. You’re going to have a direction and a purpose for your business that is super clear and you’re going to also be able to explain what you do in just a few words. This is really important for networking, in just helping people understand what you do.
03:04 And another thing that it’s going to do is tighten up your brand message. So, you know, you, once you understand its purpose and you make everything focused again, everything’s going to align. But you also want to do that visually as well. So have all of your brand elements in place and make sure that you’re being consistent. And what I mean by that is your colors, your logo, your personality, who you are as a brand. And just staying consistent with that and always allowing it to evolve and being able to get to know it even better. So the second goal that I think is really important is to engage with your audience more than ever before. So use next year to set aside a lot of time to engage with your audience, have more conversations with them, with social media, through email, through your trainings, doing live trainings, live trainings are awesome because you’re giving them lots of value, but you’re also interacting with them and kind of hanging out with them.
04:11 And so you want to do more of that. And so that way you can create more relationships. Now, before you do that, of course, it’s really important to understand your target audience so that you are building an audience of people, of the right people into your community, so that you can serve them even better. And, also by attracting the right people and having the right people in your community, when you are spending all of this extra time engaging with them, you know, for your business that it will actually grow your business. These people, if they are the right people and you’re creating connections with them and you’re serving them, then they will eventually become clients or work with you in some way. buy from you. So ways to define your target audience. I have a lot of resources about this, so if you need more help with it, definitely check out my podcast.
05:09 I have a, a podcast episode about specifically just about defining your target audience. So definitely check that out and I can put that in the show notes as well. Let me put a note here. Okay. So for the third goal that I think you should make in 2020 is to launch something new. Now, this is probably, already done. This is probably something that you’ve already been thinking about, but I want you to specifically launch something that, that one of the thing that has been in the back of your mind, but it’s a little bit out of your comfort zone and that’s what I want you to launch. So whether that’s a podcast or a video channel or maybe you have a full program that you’re creating, you want to create something big. So I have at least one big new thing that you’re going to launch.
06:04 And also along with that, you can look at what you offer currently and see if there are ways that you can make it better. I also have a lot of, I talk a lot about this and I’ve done trainings on it. we also talk about it in my masterclass. If you signed up for that or, if you are going to sign up for that, then you’ll learn a lot more about that tomorrow at noon or at six. So when you look at your offer and you make it even better, what you’re doing is you’re making it a no brainer to work with you. So I definitely want you to do that, but also launch something new and something big. So those are the three main goals that I think that you should have in 2020. So get to know your business even better.
06:51 Start with your mission, your core values, you know, what sets you apart and really understand what your positioning is in the market. And then I want you to, engage with your audience more than ever. That make that a huge focus for next year. It’s definitely going to be a big focus for me as well. I have been really, really enjoying how much I’ve been engaging and it definitely pays off. And so, make that one a huge one. And then the third one is to launch something new, not just something new, but specifically something that gets you out of your comfort zone. Something that’s going to get you really excited but also maybe a little bit uncomfortable. So that’s what I have for you this week. we kept it really, really short and I want you to get on your goals and if you have any questions, definitely reach out. If you are in my Facebook group, I’m definitely joined because we’re going to start talking about goals soon. And I’m going to do a Facebook live in there pretty soon. And I will let you guys know when that’s going to be. And so I’m also, if you want to join us in the masterclass tomorrow noon or at six, go to your wellness market com slash masterclass to sign up. And I will see you guys there.
